Pavan Kirpalani’s story gives a deja vu of STREE [2018] and ROOHI [2021]. But unlike the other two films, it focuses on ghostbusters and that gives a unique touch.

Bhoot Police Review {3.0/5} and Review Rating

Bhoot Police is the story of two tantriks who discover themselves while trying to exorcise an evil spirit. Vibhuti (Saif Ali Khan) and Chironji (Arjun Kapoor) are brothers who pretend to be ghostbusters. He is the son of the famous Ullat Baba (Saurabh Sachdeva), who died when Chironji was just 5 years old. Vibhuti does not believe in the existence of ghosts and spirits. So far, he has encountered many instances where there were no evil spirits. But instead of telling the truth to their clients, Vibhuti and Chironji will pretend to eradicate the ghost from their lives and charge a hefty fee in return. However, Vibhuti believes that there are ghosts and they are waiting for an opportunity to teach a lesson to an evil spirit. Opportunity comes at their doorstep when they meet Maya (Yami Gautam). She runs Silavar Tea Factory and owns a huge property. She lives here with her sister Kanika (Jacqueline Fernandez). Yami tells Vibhuti and Chironji that she and the tea factory workers have experienced the presence of a ghost (aka). sluggish) in the property. A similar soul was seen in his place 27 years ago and it was Ullat Baba who trapped him in a pitcher and kept it in a safe place in the forest. One night, Vibhuti and Chironji enter the forest and come across the tree where sluggish Trapped in a vessel. Chironji is shocked as he comes to know that the pot is intact and intact. It means that the soul is still inside. Therefore, he concluded that the sentiment currently plaguing the property is different. Movie Review Bhoot Police

The story of Pawan Kriplani is a novel. This STREE. gives a new view of [2018] and ruhi [2021] Bhoot Police is also a horror comedy. But unlike the other two movies, Bhoot Police focuses on Ghostbusters and gives it a unique touch. The screenplay by Pawan Kriplani, Pooja Ladha Surti and Sumit Batheja (additional screenplay by Anuwab Pal and Devashish Makhija) is entertaining. The characters are very well introduced and the balance between horror and comedy is well maintained. Although some of the jumps are reminiscent of Hollywood horror movies. On the other hand, the first part is fine and it is only from the intermission point that the film becomes interesting. Some developments are shocking. Meanwhile, Inspector Chhedi Singh’s (Javed Jaffrey) track is far from funny. The dialogues of Pooja Ladha Surti and Sumit Batheja are quite witty and witty but only in places. There was a chance for many more funny dialogues in this type of film.

Pawan Kriplani’s direction is superb. He has made horror films in the past and in this regard, he deserves praise for putting a solid horror setup in the film. He handles the comedy well but surprisingly the dramatic and emotional moments are also executed well. The scene where Vibhuti slaps Chironji and the subsequent dialogues are memorable. Also, there is an emotional angle in the climax and it is well woven into the story. However, he leaves some questions unanswered.

Ghost Police makes a great start. The entry scene has humour, horror and an unexpected twist and it sets the mood. The chase sequence at the tantric fair fails to generate laughter. The scene where Lata is forced to sing a song by her husband Vinod is scary and funny. But apart from this scene and the opening sequence, nothing interesting happens in the film. The interest level rises only when Vibhuti breaks the pot. After the interval, humor is minimal and horror takes precedence. The last 30 minutes are quite entertaining. Many twists and emotional tracks work well.

Rapid Fire- Saif Ali Khan and Arjun Kapoor’s Laughter Riot. Shahrukh | Kareena Kapoor | Ranbir Kapoor

Saif Ali Khan has excellent acting in the film. He unintentionally slips into the part of the evil tantrik and adds to the madness. Arjun Kapoor is honest. His role doesn’t allow him to contribute to the laughter quotient. But he seems to be a good fit for the role and looks much better than his other films. Yami Gautam is decent but goes to another level in the pre-climax. Jacqueline Fernandez is average. Javed Jaffrey failed to laugh. Saurabh Sachdeva and Girish Kulkarni (Santhu Bhikshu) are just there for one scene and give worthy performances. Late Amit Mistry (Hari Kumar) has a pivotal role and is entertaining. Jamie Lever and Rupesh Tillu make an impression, especially the former. Yashaswini Dayama (Guddi) is very nice. Rajpal Yadav (Gogal Baba) is ruined. The kid actor who plays Titli is adorable.

Bhoot Police is a song without song. i i ghost police while the end credits are played ‘I have fallen in love’ And ‘night gone’ absent in the story. It is great that the actors do not break into song and dance and the romantic track between the main characters is subtly shown. Clinton Cerejo’s background score is excellent and special mention should also go to Anirban Sengupta’s sound design. It enhances the horror element of the film.

Jaikrishna Gummadi’s cinematography is breath taking. The locations of Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh are cleverly imprisoned. Anita Rajagopalan and Donald Reizen Stanley’s production design is rich and in line with the film’s theme. Abhilasha Devnani and Manisha Melwani’s costumes are glamorous. The ones worn by Saif and Arjun are stylish and still go with their tantric characters. VFX from Redefine, Fractal Picture Pvt Ltd and Old Monk Studios is a bit unrealistic but works. The editing of Pooja Ladha Surti is effortless.

Overall, the first half of Bhoot Police is weak but the later parts of the interval are quite entertaining and thrilling. The combination of horror, comedy and emotion makes for a good watch.
