Raj Babbar Honored his late wife Smita Patil on her 35th death anniversary on Monday. Sharing on Instagram, Raj Babbar posted an old picture of his wife Smita Patil. In the photo, Smita Patil can be seen in a purple sari with a golden design along with traditional jewellery. The late actress could be seen in tied hair as she was smiling in the picture. Sharing the picture, Raj Babbar wrote: “Smita was a great soul – something that was so clearly reflected in her craft. She had a charming presence, but what stood out was her sensitive self. Less In time, he had touched so many lives. And always left an indelible mark. Remembering him fondly today.”

Raj Babbar was earlier married to theater personality Nadira Zaheer, but he later dated the late Smita Patil. Raj Babbar and Nadira have two children, daughter Juhi and son Arya. Raj Babbar and Smita also have a son Prateik Babbar. At the age of 31, Smita died of complications during childbirth after giving birth to her son Prateek.
